EkipMate – New Series of Releases

EkipMate – New Series of Releases

Blog, Business, Notes
I haven’t shared much recently about this project here , so I thought it was time to post a brief update on what has been happening with my company and its product. Since the company website, at this point, is still only accessible to private beta testers, I decided to share this update here as well for now. André Gide once wrote, "Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore" After relocating our headquarters from Yerevan, Armenia, to Vancouver, Canada; establishing EkipMate Hub Inc. as our new business entity; and spending months rebuilding the platform’s core for scalability, we are excited to release our first internal version on a completely new foundation. We are starting this new series of releases with version…

On Anxiety, Iran, and Where My Energy Truly Matters

On Anxiety, Iran, and Where My Energy Truly Matters

Blog, Notes
Lately, the potential of a U.S. strike on Iran has been a source of deep stress, especially for those of us in the diaspora who aren’t physically there but carry all the weight of what’s happening. It’s easy to form a distorted picture of the atmosphere back in Iran when all you see are headlines, clips, and endless opinions. Judgment becomes unclear, anxiety becomes constant, and reality feels distant. Last night, I found myself doom-scrolling again, driven not by curiosity, but by stress. And then it hit me: the tragic events in Iran have occupied my mind far more than they should have for the past couple of years. I’m so wrapped up in them that I’m not giving the focus I need to my job. I’m pouring energy into…

Onward Through the Simulation

Onward Through the Simulation

Blog, Notes
The relentless simulations these days, they've become as familiar as the outfit I wrap myself in. With a strong trajectory, hacking through fate after years of effort and persistence and finally, crossing the gateway to ascend several levels higher, where I ride on the wings of tranquility. There’s peace in seeing through the veil, and still choosing to walk.No echo needed. Yaashaar

Vital Signs and Silent Eyes

Blog, Notes
I don’t get the hype around the Apple Watch or any smartwatch. Why would anyone wear something that could be exploited to read your vitals, especially with AI’s growing ability to interpret our intentions or thoughts? Some lines weren’t meant to be blurred. Let’s be careful what we call progress. How about not taking our freedom for granted? Some of us have learned that the hard way. Y.

Is It Still Free If It Costs Sanity?

GIMP's UX as of Jan 9, 2025 is so bad, I wouldn't be surprised if Adobe funded the project and the open-source movement behind it just to sell more subscriptions! Freedom shouldn't feel like punishment.Someone, please fork this with mercy! Yaashaar

Shifting Gears

Shifting Gears

Blog, Notes, Politics
Hello readers! Hope you're doing well, wherever you are and whatever you're up to. This post is a little different from the ones I’ve shared before. Depending on how long you've been following my blog, you might already know that a few years ago, I fully committed to building a large-scale social platform. It’s my sixth commercial software project (I’ve been programming since 2004), and it’s by far the biggest and most complex consumer product I’ve ever worked on. I’ve poured years of my life into this startup. Before this, I also founded several other companies and products: BCTV Malaysia, Bit-Magazine, and BitReviewers, just to name a few out of nearly ten tech and non-tech startups. From Disruption to Direction Along the way, we ran into many setbacks that were…

The Wake-Up Call I Didn’t Expect

The Wake-Up Call I Didn’t Expect

Blog, Notes
A month ago, experienced a life-changing event. Was brought to the ER after many stressful days. Never had been so close to leaving the play. Funny how such events can make you change your priorities and remind you of how fragile your existence is and how little time you might have left. I don’t know what’s next, but I know what matters more. Some priorities just rewrite themselves. Yaashaar
