Beta 18 is Done! – Are you ready?

The beta 23.3 was released a few days ago, and I took a break for a few days after multiple weeks of development and preparing some business documents for our ongoing fundraising effort. In this post, I will update you on what we have done in Beta 18.

Development

we released a total of 5 versions during beta 18, comprised of one major release and three bug fixes. We also just added the subscription plans to the app.

Rebranding

The platform’s logo mark and logo word had been designed long ago when I was about to start developing what I had in mind. In the early days, you don’t know if your idea or project will work, and it would make sense not to put much time into the designing aspects; you just want a functional platform ASAP. Now that we’ve come along this far, we decided to give the logo another try, and we redesigned it carefully to increase its adaptability in different use cases.

I’ve written a detailed blog post on that endeavor in the company’s blog.

Fundraising

Unfortunately, there is a perfect image that some angels, accelerators, and venture capitalists have in their minds that portrays a minimum of two co-founders in any promising company.

Although I fully understand their rationale, I am disadvantaged as a solo founder. Bringing on a co-founder at this stage also makes no sense since the public beta is almost ready. Besides, I had some reasons for not requiring one based on my experience, where I had to start the company, where I had to continue the development, and basically, based on my unique situation. I still believe those reasons were sound.

We just started fundraising in North America to raise seed money before launching the product in the next few months. There are additional details and motivations behind this effort that I would rather not disclose publicly yet. I hope to update you with good news on this matter soon.

Public Beta Launch

The platform currently has all the minimum required features to be launched. Recently, we even started creating marketing materials. At the same time, we are working on one more component to include it before revealing the platform.

However, there are some conditions we are actively seeking for the launch of the product that I can’t yet disclose. I’m optimistic that they will be satisfied in the next few months.

Social Media

As we are approaching another possible window to launch the platform, I tried to get my accounts activated again in mainstream social media. It was a horrible experience, to be honest. Seriously, how do people bear this amount of distractions and narrative pushes?

I’m trying my best to keep my Twitter – Now X – account. I don’t have many followers there, and I haven’t promoted it yet on my LinkedIn since I haven’t started talking about the platform there yet. If you’re on Twitter/X, check it out: @yaashaar . I may hold some surprises for initial followers.

Although I’m still determining if I could ever maintain an active presence there, one thing is guaranteed: it will be updated way more than here. The plan is to leverage it to be in touch with future platform users.

Israel-Palestine War

I cannot top George Orwell’s 1984.

Anyway, we’ve never been so excited and stressed at the same time. We can’t wait to launch the beta for the public.

Till the next update, stay safe!
